A snapshot of technology integration...

Grade K: 

  • Using an interactive white board, students are working on beginning and ending word sounds. Interactive number cubes are used to write number sentences... 2+3 =?

Grade 1:

  • Arty The Part Time Astronaut is an interactive web site on space. 

Grade 2:

  •  Insects can be harmful and helpful. Interactive web sites and Mrs. Kelley's photos help students explore insects.

Technology Grades 3-5

A snapshot of technology integration...

Grade 3:

  • Students Skyped with Dr. Todd, College of the Atlantic whale expert, on the ocean topic. Very interesting!

Grade 4:

  • Peer reading response blogging is used to respond and reply to a comprehension question posted by the teacher. A good example of cooperative learning!

Grade 5:

  • "Da Ole Tymes" is the name of a pioneer newspaper created by students. Each student "went back in time" and submitted an article for the class newspaper. Some of the articles included: Choices At Fort Choice, Scorpion In the Boot, Wagon Train In the Middle Of a Waterless Desert, Coyote Attacks Dogs
